This page is specifically for you with information about the venue, who is accepted as a vendor (and who is not), registration and fees, our cancellation policy, and important details of what to expect and what to do on the day of the event.
Barktoberfest is held in Macungie, Pa., in their large beautiful dog-friendly city park. There is ample parking for everyone. In the basement of the park building are clean public bathrooms.
VENDOR ACCEPTANCE
NEW VENDORS: We are very particular in who we select as vendors for Barktoberfest. If you have not previously participated AND have not received an invitation from the Event Coordinator, you MUST OBTAIN APPROVAL PRIOR TO REGISTERING AND (if required) PAYING THE SPACE FEE. To obtain approval, please email the Event Coordinator, giving information about your business or group.
WHO IS ACCEPTED: Priority is always given to animal rescues. We also accept most new pet-related vendors. Of those, priority is given to those who are 100% focused on pets. We accept only a small number of non-pet-related vendors each year. For pet-related and non-pet-related vendors, when requesting approval to participate, please include your website and/or attach photos of the items intended to be offered at Barktoberfest in the email to the Event Coordinator.
REPEAT VENDORS: If you particpated in previous years, you are immediately accepted; no approval to participate is required prior to registering from the Event Coordinator. Vendors who participated in the most recent year are sent invitations to participate for the next year prior to registration being open to other interested vendors and to the public.
We reserve the right to decline participation to any vendor. Absolutely no insurance, banking or real estate vendors will be accepted.
REGISTRATION & FEES
ALL VENDORS must register with the Event Coordinator prior to paying the space fee to reserve a space. After registering, to secure your space, the space fee must be paid through PayPal.
There is NO SPACE FEE for animal rescues. For all other non-profit and for-profit vendors, an $11 non-refundable space fee is required. Unless other arrangements have been made with the Event Coordinator, payment is required ONE WEEK prior to the event date.
EVENT DAY INFORMATION
About a week before the event date, you will receive an email reminding you of the event and any last minute information. Below are details and suggestions related to preparing for the event and what to do on the day of the event. If you still have questions, though, please email the Event Coordinator.
WHAT TO BRING ... You need to bring everything! Your space fee gives you a 12ft wide x 12ft+ deep space. You need to provide your own table and chairs, and we highly advise you to bring a tent to cover your space.
SPACE ASSIGNMENT ... When you arrive after 9:30AM, check in at the WALNUT STREET ENTRANCE to the park ("Veterans Way") for directions to your space. If you need access to electricity, please make sure you check off that box on the registration form.
PARKING ... You may park your vehicles directly behind your space. Additional vehicles can park within very close proximity to the event area, on the grass or in the main parking lot.
